I entitled my graphic department to the man

So it goes, kurt vonnegut

I have been a fan and an avid reader of Vonnegut’s fiction for years. His sarcasm, his dark humor, and his sharp razor view on human nature made me think a lot about the purpose and meaning of a human being. The life and work of Kurt Vonnegut brought him to become a reference to me on how to achieve genuine human behavior through a life full of distractions and lies. His conception of art and the call for any artist was enlightening for me.

When I had to think for a name under which place my graphic and visual stuff my mind went straight to KV. Trying to design a logo that would be a tribute and at the same time an expression of his interpretation of life I saw a stapler on my desk, an ordinary object that, I thought, in the eyes of KV could have become an alien spaceship or something like that.

The discovery of the cosmic background radiation is considered the most important of the experimental tests in favor of the cosmological theories that foresee a Big Bang.
It is the echo of the creation of the world. The thing that still makes me laugh, after all these years, is that Arno Penzias (the one on the right) and Robert Wilson (on the left) exchanged that inexplicable background noise for a disturbance related to the pigeon poop, the “signals of interest”.
See, origin of all that exists and poop.
To be disbanded.

* These around were the graphic and text elements from my first web blog back in 2004.

I keep them here because I feel nostalgic and I still found them funny after all this time.
